Fido & Felix brand Turkey dinner is manufactured right here in Saskatchewan and contains 80% ground whole turkey including the bone and 10% beef liver and 10% beef tripe. We use only Saskatchewan raised turkeys and pasture raised, grass fed Saskatchewan beef in the manufacture of our products. All the meats used in the manufacture of our products is food grade and fit for human consumption.
 
Turkey is a great choice for a white protein for your pet. Believe it or not, most pets who have sensitivities or allergies to chicken can still eat turkey. I'll explain why in a post later this month about chicken as a protein choice.⠀
 
Turkey is high in protein and lower in fat than some red proteins. It is a rich source of iron, zinc, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, copper, magnesium and B vitamins. 
We add beef tripe to our dinners instead of veggies because Tripe is an amazing superfood that is great for digestion as it contains digestive enzymes and beneficial bacteria. It packs a nutritional punch providing the following: manganese, iron, potassium, zinc, copper,  selenium, B complex vitamins, Vitamins A, C, D and E. It offers the perfect 1:1 ratio of calcium and phosphorus. As well as, the perfect balance of omega-6 and omega-3 essential fatty acids. It also contains linoleic and linolenic fatty acids, prebiotics and probiotics, and amino acids. It supports gut health and in turn increased immunity which makes it a great addition for dogs with allergies and food sensitivities. It is a good choice for dogs with kidney disease as it has a low phosphorus level and is easily digested and will appeal to them when they are suffering from low appetite.
